Microsoft Windows 8 comes with beautiful Modern UI which is the burning point of the Operating System. So Instagram is yet to make an Client for Windows Phone yet thinking of Windows 8 and RT is far off the discussion. Well you can still browse Instagram Photo’s with various connected services like Instagrille. Yet there is more of such apps.
Today I am Checking out Piktr which is a Modern UI based App to browse Instagram Photo’s for Windows 8 and Windows RT. Piktr is quite straightforward to use. Just login using your Instagram credentials and you get your feed right there.
Right-Clicking on your mouse reveals the refresh button to refresh the feed and also clicking on the photo opens the comments feed and clicking on the heart likes the photo. Well the Ugliest part of the App is which you open a specific user profile you see kind of cropped view of the photos which looks like crap.
Ultimately the App is bare-minimal in terms of features. If it had way to browse popular photos or search for tags or at-least view user’s own profile by clicking on its username it would had been good. Still there is a lot of room for its Improvement and if you want an app to just view your Instagram Feed this app is just what you must Install.
