Remember Samurai Jack that animated series which used to air on Cartoon Network wherein a Samurai from the past travelled in the future to fight his enemy Aku for things he did to Jack’s village and people but the show was cancelled. As of which he never finished his grudge with Aku and never return back in his time.
Well, now thanks to IDW his saga is finally set to continue in a comic series that gives us the fifth season we always wanted. In a partnership between IDW Publishing and Cartoon Network, writer Jim Zub and artist Andy Suriano are bringing back Samurai Jack which is scheduled to release in October and it will continue the comic series where it was left in animated series.
Samurai Jack’s comic book adventures will start with a five-issue arc exploring the secrets of the “Rope of Eons.”
A cult-classic and fan-favorite of the highest order, the popular and acclaimed animated series from Cartoon Network pitted a feudal Samurai known only as Jack against the ancient demon wizard, Aku. Displaced in time, Jack was made to traverse a strange landscape of the future to find his way back to his own time.
